"The end depends upon the beginning."

These words were printed on a sign at Western Hills Primary, and I couldn’t imagine a more fitting message to close out the 2024–2025 Miles for Music school year.

What began as a simple idea—sparked by my little sister Ellie—has turned into something far greater than I ever imagined. It’s become a mission, a movement, and a reminder that even the smallest inspiration can lead to meaningful, lasting change when fueled by heart and purpose.

As I reflect on this year, I’m filled with gratitude. I’ve had the privilege of reaching 12,700 students across districts and communities—each one with their own story, energy, and voice. Every performance, every question, every shared moment has shaped this journey into something unforgettable.

To every teacher, student, and school that believed in Miles for Music this year—thank you.

I’m honored by every step we’ve taken together, inspired by the students who welcomed me with open hearts, and incredibly excited for what’s ahead.
