Conner Elementary

This week, I had the absolute joy of bringing Miles for Music to the amazing Conner Cubs! From the moment I walked in, the students’ energy and excitement filled the room—it was clear that Conner Elementary is a place where creativity truly shines.

One of the highlights of the day was sitting down at the piano and playing “Golden” from K-pop Demon Hunters! The students lit up as they recognized the song, and it was such a great reminder that music connects us all—whether it’s classical, pop, or anything in between. Every melody has the power to tell a story, and every student has a voice worth sharing.

Throughout our time together, we played games, talked about the importance of embracing our emotions, and explored how creativity can help us express who we are. Seeing students open up through music and storytelling reminded me why Miles for Music exists—to help every child find confidence in their own unique sound.

A huge thank-you to Mr. Burton and the entire Conner Elementary family for such a warm welcome and for making the day so special. Your enthusiasm and kindness mean the world to me.

They also let me participate in the Conner Custodian Parade at the end of the day!
