Barnes Elementary

My longest road trip yet with Miles for Music took me all the way to Corpus Christi ISD to visit Barnes Elementary!

When I first named this nonprofit, I never imagined the “miles” would take me this far, but I am so grateful they did. One of the greatest gifts of this journey has been the opportunity to travel across Texas, meeting students and sharing the power of music, storytelling, and creative self-expression along the way.

My visit to Barnes Elementary was filled with wonderful students, meaningful conversations, and plenty of excitement. Every school has its own unique spirit, and I loved getting the chance to experience the Barnes Elementary community firsthand.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Garcia for welcoming me and for making this visit possible. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the mission of Miles for Music with your students, and I can't wait to see where the music takes us next!
